From Weßling to Steinebach

On Sunday, October 23, we want to put on our walking shoes again and set out from Weßling to Steinebach at the Wörthsee. This is a varied hike through woods and meadows without any notable climbs. And if Peter is kind to us, we also have a beautiful view of the Alps.

First we circle the idyllically situated Weßlinger See, passing through a small alley named after a famous doctor. Who this is, you will find out on site. Afterwards, we will walk mostly on forest and meadow paths towards Steinebach am Wörthsee, where we will reward ourselves with coffee and cake at the end of our hike. Of course, we’ll take a break or two along the way and eat the snacks we’ve brought along.

Logistics

You don’t need any special equipment, just, as always, comfortable and sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, enough to drink and a tasty snack. You should also be fit enough for a three-hour hike at a normal walking pace.

Since the S-Bahn main line is closed this weekend between Ostbahnhof and Pasing, we will take the train (RE 87) from the main station to Pasing at 10:03 and change there to the S8 to Weßling; arrival in Weßling at 10:41.

Meeting point is at 9:40 a.m. in front of the Press P&B Bookshop (former FC Bayern store) in the main station opposite platform 25, direction exit Arnulfstraße.

Please do not forget FFP2 or medical mask for public transport!

It is also possible to board the train on the way at all stops of the S8, e.g. in Pasing. If someone wants to join us on the way, please let us know when you register and also if you are interested in a group ticket. If you are driving and would like to meet us at the Weßling S-Bahn station, please also let us know when you register. Attention: this is not a circular route.

Group tickets will be purchased by the hike leader at the main train station and will be passed on to the participants.

If you are interested, please register at wandern@verein-horizonte.de until Saturday, 22.10., 12:00 o’clock.

You can find more inspiration as well as descriptions or articles about past hikes in the hiking calendar and hiking archive.
